SUMMARY:Eagle Cave Campout
DESCRIPTION:Calling all Spelunkers! \nTIME CRITICAL MESSAGE!  ACTION NEEDED THIS WEEK! \nThis February your PLC has decided that we will do some winter camping. . . IN A CAVE!!! \nWe will be camping in Eagle Cave in Wisconsin.  This inside of the cave is the same temperature all year round and as such provides a reasonable camping environment\, no matter the weather outside.  The cave resort provides food and activities for the groups that camp so this will be a much more straightforward but unusual campout.  Because of this however the resort requires final numbers 60 days ahead. \nAs such we need a final list of campers by Dec 3 per the cave operators.  This means we only have one week to sign up for our February campout!  (Please note that the fees are significantly higher than for a normal campout.) \nWe have 15 spots currently reserved. These spots will be on a first-come first-served basis\, so signup ASAP.  If we have more than 15 campers interested\, we will set up a wait list in case of additional availability. \nPlease note: The name listed on the ticket should be that of the participant (not the parent’s name). \nThis event will be updated with additional details as we get closer to the date.

SUMMARY:2023 Shawnee Mini Trek Interest
DESCRIPTION:Dear Crew\, Scouts\, Parents\, \nThis is a signup to show interest in the Shawnee mini trek.  This trek is a great opportunity for younger scouts to get their feet wet with backpacking\, and for the older scouts to trek with less commitment than a full crew trek.  It is three days and two nights of backpacking\, where we will cover some miles each day as decided by the scouts.  Scouts 7th grade and up are eligible\, and 6th grade scouts are eligible with their parents.  The price is not yet fixed\, but is anticipated to be around $230.  It does involve more preparation than a typical campout and so we will schedule additional meetings to plan all the details.  If you are interested in joining us this year\, please sign up here and we will include you in the planning meetings. \nIf you have any questions about what the trek is or what it entails\, please feel free to reach out to josh.flachsbart@troop5.com for more details.

SUMMARY:DTS - Ray/Christine Donations - Shhhh
DESCRIPTION:This is a SECRET\, so don’t spoil it! \nWe are going to have an adult only DTS on Thursday 5/26\, and all adults have been invited to it\, but it is really a surprise celebration for Ray Macika and Christine Randolfi to thank them for their many years as Scout Master and other service to the Troop/Crew. As you know Christine will be moving away this summer and we want to send her off appropriately. We are collecting funds to buy them each a gift certificate to a favorite restaurant so they can have an enjoyable evening out. All of the proceeds will be split between the two of them. \nThe suggested donation is $25 ($12.50 per person)\, but you can make a different donation as you see fit. \nYou can venmo me directly at: \n@Brian-Mason-120 \nOr pay below using PayPal like a regular camp out. You can purchase the $25 ticket to meet the suggested amount. I have also added a $5 ticket where you can create a custom amount if you want to. You can also give me a check or cash if you see me before the event. \nDonations are due by 5/23. \nYou are not really buying a ticket\, this is just an easier way to collect money for the gifts. \nPlease help us recognize these 2 great leaders for their many years of support! \nThanks\, \nBrian Mason \nCrew 5 Advisor
