2027 Luge + WWII Submarine Adventure
We’re excited to announce a January overnight adventure to Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park in Muskegon, Michigan!
On January 9, we’ll travel to southwest Michigan for a day of winter fun. Scouts will experience one of only four luge tracks in the United States—the country’s only natural-ice luge track. After training, equipment fitting, and safety instruction, participants will take practice runs and compete in a friendly luge race with Olympic-style medals.
Luge Requirements:
-
Minimum height: 48 inches (4 feet)
-
Minimum weight: 65 pounds
-
No maximum height or weight limit
After our luge experience, we’ll get to enjoy additional winter activities including:
-
Ice skating on an outdoor rink and wooded trail
-
Snowshoeing
-
Cross-country skiing
-
Bonfires with hot chocolate
That evening, we’ll stay aboard the historic USS Silversides Submarine, where Scouts can explore the vessel and sleep in authentic crew berths for a unique hands-on history experience.
On Sunday January 10, we’ll return to Chicago with plenty of stories to share.
Unlike normal campouts, this campout will have a strict cancellation policy. No refunds will be issued if you cancel (unless we can fill the spot), and we strongly ask that you only sign up your scout if they can make this date.
Adults are free – please consider volunteering to drive & chaperone!
