Calling all Troop 5 and Crew 5 Scouts, Parents and Leaders!
Come join us for the Ice Age Trail Campout!
We’re excited to offer the following backpacking and camping options:
Note: Backpacking spaces are limited. Philmont trek participants and scouts who expressed interest in backpacking earlier this spring will receive priority.
Patrol leaders – Coordinate with your patrol to get them to sign up and select a grubmaster. We need accurate counts to plan properly for the campouts! The signup will be open until Sunday, June 1.
Drivers always needed! If you will drive, please RSVP below for the camping/backpacking option you plan to chaperone and provide information about the number of people you can transport. Note: Drivers will need to purchase vehicle passes for the park.
Adults and youth must have up-to-date health forms parts A & B for this campout. In addition, all adults wishing to camp must have completed a current Youth Protection Training (YPT). This can take up to a week to complete so please start ASAP if you are not up-to-date. If you are interested in being the Lead Assistant Scout Master (ASM) or the Committee Grubmaster for this campout, please make a note in the memo field.
Gear Pull: Wednesday, June 4 at 7:00 pm – First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette (FPCW).
Leave: Friday, June 6 at 5.00 pm – FPCW.
Return: Sunday, June 8 around Noon – FPCW.
Please find the campout packing list here. A backpacking equipment list will be shared separately. Gear sharing is encouraged! If you need something, please reach out.
